Soho House Celebrates Muslim Women’s Day for a Second Year

In celebration of Muslim Women’s Day 2024, Muslim Girl partnered with Soho House for the second year in a row to close out the evening with our annual New York Muslim Girl Iftar.

In the company of prominent partners, reliable friends, and powerful allies, Muslim Girl founder Amani organized a special Q&A session in Ludlow House, New York. The session featured an empowering conversation between her and Journalist Maliya Naz during which they tapped into the very discourse that pertains to Muslim women and girls in this day and age.

The discussion centered on the ongoing effort to amplify the voices of Muslim women and strategies for advocating for ourselves within the Muslim community and beyond.

Our soirée was graced by everyone who joined us for the night including The Islamic Center at New York University, She’s the First, UN Youth Office, StoryCorps, Shahzad Ahsan, Saad Amer, Deepti Sharma, Ilham, Felukah, and Youth Observer to the United Nations Ose E. Arheghan.

I think the most important thing our allies can do is pass the mic! We rarely get to see women who look like us in these spaces.
